Cast Iron Guttering Replacement at Educational Facility

Dayco was appointed to replace the original cast iron ogee guttering at an educational facility in Guildford as part of a planned maintenance programme. The works required full scaffolding to provide safe access and ensure the replacement could be completed to a high standard.

The Challenge

The project was delivered within a fully operational educational facility where access during the working week was not possible. To minimise disruption, all works were carefully planned around weekend-only access, requiring close coordination between our team, the client and our scaffolding contractor to maintain programme and safety standards.

Our Solution

Working collaboratively with all parties, we developed a programme that maximised the available access windows while maintaining project efficiency. Full scaffolding was erected over the weekend, enabling our operatives to safely replace the original cast iron ogee guttering with minimal disruption to the site's daily operations. Through careful planning, flexible scheduling and strong communication, the project progressed successfully despite the restricted access, demonstrating our ability to deliver planned maintenance works in challenging operational environments.
